1. Why do people say that “I will do ANYTHING to lose the weight” and refuse to do the most basic things necessary to do just that?
- Analysis: People really do not mean that they will do anything. It is an empty statement that really means nothing, but still frustrating to hear.

Last week I received a phone call from the grandfather of one of my athletes. Usually, when grandparents call it is to complain, or even to spread some bad news. I was figuring that this man’s granddaughter might have injured her knee and he was calling to let me know. I even thought that maybe he was calling to tell me what a great job I did with his granddaughter because she was able to make varsity as a sophomore. It was none of those things.

Recently, there has been a lot on the news about obesity and some very disturbing stories have made the news about kids, as young as 7 years old, being trapped inside of a 200-400 pound bodies. Read the rest of this entry »

Let me explain:
Client “A”, as I will call him, has lost a ton of weight since working with me, has gained a bunch of solid muscle, and feels better than he ever has before. Although all of those things are true, I still failed my client. You see, the physical part of this is easy. Getting people to lose large amounts of weight, putting on muscle and making people feel better is cake for me. It’s easy…like play. I am good at it. Read the rest of this entry »
